Paul and Anne Loveridge have been in Cowra for many years, brought their family up here and built a life with good food and hospitality at its centre. Fashions may come and go, but the Loveridges know what keeps their regular customers, and flow-ins, well satisfied. It's no big secret: well-cooked food that surpasses expectations. Spicy Italian sausage and tomato ragu folded through just-right fettuccine, comes piping hot and, well, just right. Sweet potato and goat's cheese pizza with chilli jam could be a train wteck but isn't, a crisp base and good judgement prevailing. Things go from good to better with nicely cooked prawns with garlic, sweet chilli, lime and piri piri aioli (yep, it works) and salmon in a sticky sauce of soy and sesame. Best of all is Anne's chocolate caramel dessert plate, an elegant curation of sugar,cream and chocolate.
